Overview
The U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Atlanta East, Atlanta West and Savannah, Georgia, Area Offices, the Georgia Tech Enterprise Innovation Institute – Safety, Health, and Environment Services Group (Georgia Tech), and the Georgia Department of Public Health, Division of Health Protection, Epidemiology Office (DPH). The focus of the Alliance to provide members and others with information, guidance, and access to training resources that will help them protect the health and safety of workers, particularly by reducing and preventing exposure to lead hazards in both general and construction industries.

Results of Alliance Activities in Support of Agreement Goals
Dissemination: Alliance Program participant shared information on OSHA-developed or OSHA Alliance Program-developed tools and resources, OSHA standards/rulemakings, enforcement, or outreach campaigns.

Dissemination November 5, 2022 During this period, the Georgia DPH, Lead, and Healthy Homes Program participated supported an outreach event in Richmond County, Georgia. During the event concerns were addressed regarding childhood lead prevention programs, as well as take-home exposure to lead. Hazard Communication/ Chemical and Lead 30
Dissemination November 19, 2022 The Alliance group, led by the Georgia DPH, distributed outreach material in collaboration with the DPH Environmental Health Program, and a local community outreach program called Community Science SoilSHOP. SoilSHOP offers free soil screening to anyone in Georgia who is interested in checking their soil lead levels. The SoilSHOP was held in-person on November 19, 2022, in the Westside Atlanta Lead Site. The SoilSHOP program agreed to share the take-home lead exposure educational materials with the participants of this program, as well as offer any participating businesses the opportunity for follow-up by the Georgia Tech Consultation Program. Twelve brochures were handed out and Emory University requested to keep and distribute the remaining brochures. Hazard Communication/ Chemical and Lead 10
Dissemination March 18, 2023 The Alliance group, led by the Georgia DPH, distributed outreach material during a SoilSHOP conducted by the Chemical Hazards Program (CHP) and ATSDR Region IV at the Atlanta Science Festival – Community Science for Change event. This event was conducted as part of Emory University's HERCULES Exposome Research Center. Resources provided included information on lead in soil, healthy urban gardening, and occupational lead exposure. Hazard Communication/ Chemical and Lead 42

Training/Presentation During this Period Competent-Person course for lead Rep. from the Georgia Tech Onsite Consultation Program During this period, Georgia Tech developed a six (6) part training course focused on the lead standard for the construction industry. This Competent-Person course for lead in the construction industry is now available for all employees. This course is especially beneficial for employers in construction demolition.
