    3. Overview:
      OSHA and the Consulate General of Mexico in Miami, Florida agreed to provide information, guidance, and access to training resources that will help protect employees’ health and safety, particularly by reducing and preventing exposures to hazards in the construction industry.  The Alliance participants will also work to increase the understanding of worker's rights and the responsibilities of employers under the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSH Act).

      In addition to these formal meetings, the Alliance coordinators from both groups maintained regular contact throughout the reporting period to monitor the Alliance's progress and results.

    Dissemination: Alliance Program participant shared information on OSHA-developed or OSHA Alliance Program-developed tools and resources, OSHA standards/rulemakings, enforcement, or outreach campaigns.

During this period, the Area Director (AD) and the Compliance Assistance Specialist (CAS) from OSHA’s Fort Lauderdale Area Office conducted presentations in English and Spanish, which commemorated Labor Rights Week. This activity was also conducted in conjunction with the El Sol Alliance and the Alliance with the EL Salvador Consulate in Miami, Florida.
