    3. Overview:

      The U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Atlanta East, Atlanta West and Savannah, Georgia, Area Offices, the Georgia Tech Enterprise Innovation Institute – Safety, Health, and Environment Services Group (Georgia Tech), and the Georgia Department of Public Health, Division of Health Protection, Epidemiology Office (DPH). The focus of the Alliance to provide members and others with information, guidance, and access to training resources that will help them protect the health and safety of workers, particularly by reducing and preventing exposure to lead hazards in both general and construction industries.

    • In addition to these formal meetings, the Alliance coordinators from each organization maintained regular contact throughout the reporting period to monitor the Alliance's progress and results.

    Dissemination: Alliance Program participant shared information on OSHA-developed or OSHA Alliance Program-developed tools and resources, OSHA standards/rulemakings, enforcement, or outreach campaigns.

Dissemination June 15, 2023 In a collaboration with the DPH Environmental Health Program, and a local community outreach program called Community Science SoilSHOP, which offers free soil screening to anyone in Georgia who is interested in checking their soil lead levels. The SoilSHOP was held in-person on June 15, 2023, in the Westside Atlanta Lead Site. The SoilSHOP program agreed to share the take-home lead exposure educational materials with the participants of this program, as well as offer any participating businesses the opportunity for follow-up by the Georgia Tech Consultation program. Dissemination Sept. 6 thru 8, 2023 Georgia Tech and the Georgia DPH distributed copies of the outreach material, developed by the Alliance group, during the 2023 Georgia Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) Conference. Dissemination Oct. 5 thru 15/2023 During this period, the Georgia DPH, Lead, and Healthy Homes Program participated conducted outreach during the Georgia State Fair in Perry, Georgia. Presentation		 August 15, 2023 OSHA Safe + Sound Campaign OSHA A presentative from the Alliance group conducted a presentation in support of the OSHA Safe + Sound Campaign at the DPR Partnership site in Peachtree Corners, Georgia. The event was conducted on August 15, 2023, from 1pm to 2:30pm and it will focus on OSHA requirements, workplace mental health, as well as lead overexposure prevention. Training August 18, 2023 "Lunch and Learn" Seminar OSHA OSHA's Atlanta Area Offices are conducting an event with the AGC Georgia Chapter, the Georgia Tech Onsite Consultation Service, and the Georgia Dept. of Public Health (DPH). The event will be conducted in-person, as well as virtual (for anyone unable to attend in-person). The event was conducted on August 18, 2023, from 1pm to 2:30pm and it will focus on OSHA requirements, workplace mental health, as well as lead overexposure prevention.
