Alliance Overview and Goals
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the Northeast Florida Safety Council (NEFSC) formed the NEFSC Alliance to provide the Northeast Florida Safety Council members and others with information, guidance, and access to training resources that will help them protect employees’ health and safety focusing on work zone traffic safety and controls. This Alliance will also serve to educate Florida employers about the value added to business by voluntarily implementing an effective safety and health management system.

Implementation Team Meetings
The implementation team consisted of representatives from the Northeast Florida Safety Council (NEFSC) and the OSHA Area Office in Jacksonville, Florida. During this period, representative from the NEFSC and OSHA met at least twice to discuss the accomplishment of Alliance-related goals and objectives.

Results of Alliance Activities in Support of Agreement Goals Dissemination: Alliance Program participant shared information on OSHA-developed or OSHA Alliance Program-developed tools and resources, OSHA standards/rulemakings, enforcement, or outreach campaigns.

Distribution of materials/ Outreach January 2020 In January 2020, the Alliance group effectively promoted the new OSHA National Emphasis Program (NEP) for Amputations. The NEP was promoted on both the NEFSC’s website and newsletter, which enjoys a circulation of more than 10,000 employers and workers.
