    3. Overview:

      The Toledo Electrical Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (TEJATC) Alliance provides TEJATC members, OSHA staff and others with information, guidance, and access to training resources that will help them protect the health and safety of workers, particularly by reducing and preventing exposure to electrical, confined space, and fall hazards and by providing information on health hazards such as heat stress and noise exposure, and understand the rights of workers and the responsibilities of employers under the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSH Act).

    In addition to these formal meetings, the Alliance coordinators from both groups maintained regular contact throughout the reporting period to monitor the Alliance's progress and results.

    Outreach and Communication: Develop information on the recognition and prevention of workplace hazards and develop ways of communicating such information.

  4. Evaluations

    The OSHA/TEJATC Alliance provided an opportunity to increase the safety and health knowledge of IBEW members and OSHA staff in Northwest Ohio. OSHA personnel provide current occupational safety and health information to instructors and IBEW journeymen and apprentices utilizing the training services at the TEJATC. OSHA staff in turn is offered and provided technical resources relating to electrical installations and electrical testing equipment.

  5. Upcoming Milestones

    The TAJATC has offered its wind tower climbing facility to support the continuing education and retraining of OSHA's National Wind Tower Climbing Team. The alliance is currently developing an agenda to initiate this event during CY2018.
