Success stories from OSHA's On-Site Consultation Program and Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP) recognize both the important work of On-Site Consultation and small business employers who operate exemplary safety and health programs. Massachusetts On-Site Consultation Produces Promotional Video Highlighting Services

  • The video was a joint effort with Atlas Pulp Molded Products, a company that has used Massachusetts On-Site Consultation and achieved Safety and Health Recognition Program (SHARP) status.
  • Massachusetts sends program evaluations to all companies that utilize Consultation services in an effort to obtain continuous improvement.

Kansas Department of Labor Consultation Program Signs First Ever Alliance in Kansas Addressing Mental Health, Opioid Addiction, and Suicide Prevention

  • On May 6th, 2024, the Kansas Consultation Program entered an Alliance to protect workers by addressing mental health, opioid abuse, and suicide prevention.
  • This Alliance was two years in the making and will provide the first-ever public-private partnership in Kansas for delivering mental health and job-site safety training to AGC members and the community at large.

SHARP Never Tires in North Dakota

  • Northwest Tire Inc. manages tire and service shops in North Dakota, South Dakota, and Minnesota.
  • Nine of the facilities in North Dakota have achieved SHARP since 2023.

Omni-Tech Manufacturing Corporation Celebrates Fifth SHARP Recertification and 50 Years of Operation

  • Omni-Tech manufactures a wide array of plastic parts and serves diverse industry sectors.
  • Omni-Tech worked with TOSHA Consultative Services to be recognized as a SHARP participant, a status it has held since 2007.

Michigan OSHA On-Site Consultation Program Leads Company to Gold

  • Enova Premier of Michigan, LLC is a motor vehicle parts manufacturer which specializes in tire and wheel assembly.
  • In May 2024, Enova was recognized by Michigan's Consultation Education and Training (CET) Division with a Gold award.

Crossroads Cooperative Receives SHARP Recognition at Three Locations in Western Nebraska

  • Crossroads Cooperative Association handles grain commodities such as corn, wheat, millet, milo, and beans.
  • The Sidney, Nebraska location received SHARP in February of 2024, with their Bridgeport and Gering locations being recognized into the program in August of 2023.

Perpetua Resources in Idaho Finds SHARP Success as It Prepares to Restore an Old Mine for Future Resources

  • Mineral development company that is working to restore an abandoned mine.
  • While in the restoration phase, Perpetua is operating under OSHA General Industry rules.
  • Perpetua was accepted into SHARP in September of 2023.

Iowa On-Site Consultation Works to Make Construction Sites Safer

  • In 2021, a Des Moines general contractor began working with consultation.
  • Since then, the company has received 10 on-site visits on 5 different construction sites and have identified and corrected 42 hazards.
