  9. Background Information on the Cancelled Directives.

This Notice cancels two OSHA directives that no longer represent the Agency's policies.

    1. OSHA Instruction AOC 00-00-002 (ADM 11-0.4), OSHA Executive Board (OEB); January 31, 2002.

OEB was established as the Agency's forum to discuss, consider and provide pre-decisional advice to the Assistant Secretary on significant matters of Agency policy, operations, management, procedure, standards, or legislation.

OEB is no longer in operation and, therefore, the directive governing its functions and operations is obsolete.

    2. OSHA Instruction IPC 01-00-001 (ADM 3-2.1A), OSHA Correspondence Manual; February 27, 1981.

In all executive correspondence, OSHA follows the general guidelines outlined in the DOL Correspondence Management Program. The document can be found in the U.S. Department of Labor Manual Series (DLMS), Chapter 500 on the Department's Labornet.
