Information Dissemination System for Chemical Industry Inspections and Consultative Visits
Resulting in Significant Benefits.
- Scope: This notice applies OSHA-wide.

- Cancellation: OSHA instruction CPL 2-2.50 has been canceled.
- Expiration Date: This notice will terminate on May 19, 2000.
- Federal Program Change: This notice describes a Federal OSHA program change which
affects State Programs.
OSHA Instruction CPL 2-2.50 required Regional Administrators to establish a procedure for the development of brief, written summaries for selected chemical industry cases and chemical consultative visits and forward the information to the National Office for publication and dissemination. State designees were encouraged but not required to participate. State designees who chose to participate should discontinue submitting the information on chemical industry cases to Regional Administrators.
- Action: Regional Administrators are no longer required to submit summaries on selected
chemical industry cases to the Directorate of Technical Support. Area Directors and
Consultation Project Managers are no longer responsible for preparing summaries for selected
chemical industry cases unless decided by the appropriate Regional Administrator to implement
a similar system for regional use.
