Target audience includes small and new businesses, limited English proficiency, young workers, minority, hard-to-reach workers, and workers in the high hazard and high fatality construction jobs. Training topics will include injury prevention and safety, hazard recognition, incident investigation, job safety rules, personal protective equipment, and emergency planning. Plans include developing a trainer manual, student workbook, and PowerPoint training presentations. Training will be offered in Tagalog, Japanese, Ilocano, and Chinese.

The grantee will provide 3- to 5-hour training to workers in the construction and nail salon industries. Target audience includes non-English speaking, low literacy, hard-to-reach workers, and small business employers. Training topics will include the construction focus four hazards and nail salon hazards. Plans include using existing training materials. Training will be offered in Portuguese and Spanish.
Committee for the Advancement of Arboriculture Jackson NJ $140,500 Developmental
The grantee will provide 4- to 12-hours of training to workers in the tree care industry. Target audience includes small business and high-risk, hard-to-reach, limited English proficiency, low-literacy, women, and minority workers. Training topics will include electrical safety in tree climbing, chain saw, aerial rescue, chipper, stump grinder safety, skid steer awareness, and tree climbing techniques. Plans include using existing training materials, revising materials, and developing industry specific materials to include videos, handouts, alerts, PPTs, topic cards, fact sheets, and flyers. Training will be offered in Spanish.

The grantee will provide 2- to 5-hour hazards training to healthcare industry workers. Target audience includes low literacy, adult and young workers, supervisors, and minority workers employed in the high-hazard healthcare industries. Training topics will include safe patient handling, workplace violence, chemical safety, ergonomics, risk management, and bloodborne pathogens. Plans are to use existing training materials. Training will be offered in English.

Target audience includes union leaders, members, health and safety committee representatives, employers, and management. Target audience includes small businesses, limited English proficiency, non-literate, and low literacy, minority, and hard-to-reach workers in a high-hazard industry. Target audience includes limited English proficiency, non-literate and low literacy, minority, and other hard-to-reach workers. Training topics will include personal protective equipment, hazard mapping, ergonomics, and safety for sanitation workers in the poultry industry. Plans are to use existing training materials. Training will be offered in English, Spanish, and Hmong.

The grantee will conduct 1- and 2-hour training on agricultural safety to workers and producers in pork, poultry, fruit/vegetable production, and grain production operations. Training audience includes low-literacy and limited English proficiency farm workers. New training topics include zoonotic diseases prevention, heat illness, hazard mapping, chainsaw safety and skid steer loader safety. Training will be provided in English.

The grantee will deliver training on heat stress prevention, pesticide safety, tractor safety, and take home pesticide exposure control for migrant and seasonal farmworkers and employers. Training audience includes low-literacy, hard-to-reach, and limited English proficiency workers. Training materials include a trainer manual, portable flipcharts, brochures, pocket guides, and other educational handouts. Training will be provided in English, Spanish, and Haitian-Creole.

The grantee will provide 2-hour training to vulnerable Vietnamese workers and employers on chemical hazards in the nail salon industry. Target audience includes small businesses, limited English proficiency, low-literacy, minority, and other hard-to-reach workers. Existing training materials will be use to provide training in English and Vietnamese.

The grantee will present 1-hour hazard identification and control workshop, 1-hour workers' rights workshop, 3-hour occupational safety and health training, 10-hour construction trades training, and a 36-hour train-the-trainer class to workers in Maryland. New training topics will include ergonomics for housekeepers, bloodborne pathogens, restaurant safety, hazards identification, and asbestos.  Training will be provided in English, French, and Spanish.
Construction Advancement Foundation of Northwest Indiana, Inc. Portage IN $120,098 Developmental Follow-on
The grantee will offer 7.5-hour training to safety representatives and 1- to 7.5 hour worker training on construction hazards in process safety, industrial, and commercial work within the construction industry industries in Indiana. Topics will include process safety management, administration of safety programs, risk assessment and accident investigation, fall protection, electrical and arc flash, lockout tagout, confined space, hot work permits, health hazards and industrial hygiene, and excavation safety. Training will be provided in English.
Education & Training Institute Inc. New Brunswick NJ $132,631 Developmental Follow-on
The grantee will present 45-minute tailgate training, 4-hour classroom training, and 30-hour train-the-trainer classes on residential construction hazards to workers in small and new businesses in New Jersey. Training topics will include basic OSHA rights, hazard mapping, chemical hazards, PPE/respirator protection, ladder safety, scaffold safety, fall protection, hand and power tools, concrete and masonry safety, and excavations. Training materials will include a workbook, fact sheets, and flyers. Training will be provided in English and Spanish.
Farmworker Justice Fund, Inc. Washington DC $133,650 Developmental Follow-on
The grantee will provide a 15-hour train-the-trainer class and 30-minute farmworker safety awareness training to migrant and seasonal farmworkers in California. Training topics will include pesticide safety, heat illness, field sanitation, and workers' rights. Plans are to revise existing training materials including a presentation flipbook, information cards, and brochures. A text message application will be developed to deliver information to workers following training. Training will be available in English and Spanish.

The grantee will offer 7.5-hour train-the-trainer classes for worker leaders, who will then provide 1.5-hour awareness training to workers in general, construction, cleaning services, poultry/meat packing, restaurants, landscaping, home care, and car wash industries. Target audience includes limited English proficiency, low-literacy, minority, and other hard-to-reach workers. Training will include workers' rights, hazard identification and control, risk communication, and ergonomics. Training will be available in English and Spanish.

The grantee will provide 1-hour hazard identification and 4-hour train-the-trainer training for hard-to-reach immigrant workers. Target audience includes limited English proficiency, non-literate, and low literate workers.  New training topics include hazard identification for the car wash industry. Advanced topics continued will include ergonomics and hazard communication. Plans are to revise existing and develop new training materials. Training will be offered in Spanish.

The grantee will provide 1- to 8-hour training to workers in multiple industries including agriculture. Target audience includes limited English proficiency, non-literate, and low literate workers. Training topics will include the heat stress, chemical safety/hazard communication, and ergonomics. Plans are to adapt and use existing training materials for in-person and webinar training. Training will be offered in English and Spanish.

The grantee will provide 4-hour train-the-trainer and 2-hour worker training through 16 participating COSH organization to workers in construction, health care, restaurant, warehousing landscaping, waste and recycling, industrial laundries, janitorial and cleaning services, agriculture, and retail industries. Training audience includes small businesses, limited English proficiency, young, temporary, low-literacy, and minority workers. Training topics include lockout/tagout, ergonomics, workplace violence, chemical hazards/hazard communication, hazard identification, confined space, ladder safety, preventing slip and fall injuries in restaurant work, safe patient handling, fall protection, personal protective equipment, bloodborne pathogens, and hazards in the healthcare, residential construction, agricultural, and green cleaning/chemical substitution industries.  Plans are to use or revise existing training materials.
National Day Laborer Organizing Network Los Angeles CA $133,650 Developmental Follow-on
The grantee will deliver 2-day train-the-trainer training and 3-hour awareness training to hard-to-reach and limited English proficiency migrant day laborers in the construction industry. Training materials will address masonry, framing, and roof work hazards. Existing training materials will be revised and new materials will be developed as needed. Training will be provided in English and Spanish.
New Jersey State AFL-CIO Community Services Agency Trenton NJ $132,946 Developmental Follow-on
The grantee will offer a 3-day train-the-trainer and a 1- to 4-hour injury and illness prevention program awareness training to food manufacturing and supermarket workers. Target audience includes small businesses, limited English proficiency, and young workers. Training materials designed by the New Jersey State AFL-CIO will be used and include PowerPoint presentations, student materials, and instructor guides. Training will be provided in English and Spanish.

The grantee will conduct 4-hour awareness and 7-hour operations training on agricultural safety and rescue operations for emergency responders and agricultural workers in Oklahoma. Training topics include agricultural safety and rescue with an emphasis in grain handling operations. Training will be provided in English and Spanish.

The grantee will provide 2-hour, 4-hour, and 5-hour peer-led health and safety training and a 20-hour train-the-trainer training to the restaurant, cleaning, and food processing industries. Target audience includes small businesses, non-English speaking, limited English proficient, non-literate, and low literacy, young, and other vulnerable workers. Training topics will include the OSHA rights and responsibilities, chemical hazards, hazard communication, hazard mapping, ergonomics, slip, trips, and falls, and personal protective equipment. Plans are to use existing and develop new training materials. Training will be offered in Spanish.

The grantee will offer 2-hour safety awareness and skills-building trainings, 7.5 leadership training, 6-hour train-the-trainer basic and advanced training, and .75-hour ergonomics awareness training by the trained trainers. Training will be offered to workers in the janitorial, warehouse, airport, maintenance, supermarkets, and health care industries. Target audience includes limited English proficiency, low-literacy, and temporary workers in California. Training topics will include preventing chemical exposure, workplace violence, and work-related musculoskeletal disorders. Training will be provided in English and Spanish.

The grantee will present 2- to 4-hour worker training and 4-hour employer training to workers involved in chemical plants, oil refineries, sewage and water treatment operations, hospitals, and long-term care facilities. Training topics will include identifying and mapping hazards, chemical hazards, OSHA's Process Safety Management standard, heath care hazards including workplace violence and safe lifting, injury and illness prevention programs, and mold hazards. Training will be provided in English.

The grantee will present 30 minute to 4-hour employee/employer training, and 7.5- and 22.5-hour train the trainer training for their safety program for the commercial and residential construction industry in Texas.
