    Advance notice of proposed rulemaking; occupational exposure to methylene chloride (also known as methylene dichloride, dichloromethane or DCM), 1910.1000, Table Z-2. The results of animal studies indicate that the present permissible exposure limit (PEL) for DCM may not provide exposed workers adequate protection against potential cancer risks and other adverse health effects. This notice summarizes the potential adverse health effects associated with exposure to DCM. A determination will be made after comments are reviewed as to the further action needed to protect workers. Comments should be received by February 23, 1987.
