Abstract:
This document gives notice of the eligibility of the Virginia (VA)
State, Region III, occupational safety and health plan, as
administered by the Virginia Department of Labor and Industry, for
determination under section 18(e) of the Occupational Safety and
Health Act of 1970 as to whether final approval of the State plan
should be granted. If an affirmative determination is made, Federal
standards and enforcement authority will no longer apply to issues
covered by the Virginia plan. OSHA is soliciting written public
comment regarding whether or not final approval should be granted.
