This notice announces the application of MET Electrical Testing Company, Inc. for expansion of its recognition as a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory, to cover the following ANSI/UL standards: 22, Electric Amusement Machines; 122, Electric Photographic Equipment; 130, Electric Heating Pads; 231, Electrical Power Outlets; 813, Commercial Audio Equipment; 869, Electrical Service Equipment; 1012, Power Supplies; 1411, Transformers and Motor Transformers for Use in Audio, Radio and Television-Type Appliances; and 1647, Motor Operated Massage and Exercise Machines. Also, to cover UL 1449, Transient Voltage Surge Suppressors, and UL 1778, Uninterruptible Power Supply Equipment. The Assistant Secretary has made a preliminary finding that the equipment and expertise required to certify products using the aforementioned standards are within the capabilities of the laboratory, and that the proposed additional test standards can be added to MET''s recognition without the necessity for an additional on site review. Written comments supporting or challenging the application must be received by the NRTL Program, Office of Variance Determinations by 5/13/ 91.
