    Approval of New Mexico State Standards
Abstract:

OSHA has approved the New Mexico State Standards and Amendments which have been determined to be identical to the following comparable Federal Standards and Amendments: 1910.1000, Amendment to Air Contaminants; 1910.1001, Amendment to Asbestos; 1910.1048, Amendment to Formaldehyde; 1910.1450, Occupational Exposure to Hazardous Chemicals in Laboratories; 1910.1001, Amendment to Asbestos; 1910.1025, Amendment to Lead; 1910, Amendment to Subpart Q - Welding, Cutting and Brazing; 1910.120, Amendment to Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response; 1910, Amendment to Subpart S - Electrical Safety-Related Work Practices; 1910.147, Amendment to Control of Hazardous Energy Sources (Lockout/Tagout); 1926.704, Amendment to Concrete and Masonry Construction; 1926, and Amendment to Subpart P - Excavations; 1926, Revision to Concrete and Masonry Construction, Lift Slab Construction Operations. There are minimal differences between the State''s standard for Hazard Communication and the Federal standard, and it is approved; OSHA reserves the right to reconsider this approval, should substantial objections be submitted to the Assistant Secretary. Decision is effective 10/9/91.
