    Stay of effective date for 29 CFR 1910.119(f), (h), (j), (l) lifted
Abstract:

On June 1, 1992, OSHA published a Federal Register Notice administratively staying four provisions of the standard for Process Safety Management of Highly Hazardous Chemicals (29 CFR 1910.119). These provisions included paragraphs (f), (h), (j), and (l). The notice also requested comments on whether additional time is necessary to comply with these provisions. After careful consideration of the information contained in the record as a whole, OSHA has decided that the original compliance dates are feasible and an extended administrative stay of paragraphs (f), (h), (j), and (l) is neither necessary nor appropriate. Paragraphs (f), (h), (j), and (l) will become effective on August 27, 1992. Further information may be obtained by contacting Mr. James F. Foster, OSHA, Room N2625, Washington, D.C. 20210.
