Dear Sirs,
I work for CSXT Transportation and am a crane operator, had attended a class for safe operation of crawler cranes, and supervision will not answer some of my questions on safety. We were given a safety manual for Users, Operators and Maintenance Personnel, what I would like to have is any publication on the safe operations, and inspection of the boom, and if a crane has to have a load rating chart in the cab of the crane. And also can the boom be welded, and if it can be, then by who, and if it has to be mega-fluxed for cracks, and if it is safe if it has a bend in it. The crane is a crawler crane, has a 45 ft. boom and sits on a flat car.
