MEMORANDUM FOR: REGIONAL ADMINISTRATORS

SUBJECT: Transmittal of Settlement Agreement -- American Forest and Paper Association and American Iron and Steel Institute and OSHA
 

 


Attached for your information is a settlement agreement entered into by the American Forest and Paper Association and the American Iron and Steel Institute and OSHA, on January 31, 1995.

With the completion of negotiations, and the subsequent signing of the settlement agreement, you may discontinue submitting OSHA-1B Forms of the 1910.132(d) and (f) standards to the Office of General Industry Compliance Assistance, effective February 8, 1995. Please comply with the settlement agreement (attachment A) which addresses the procedures for enforcing paragraphs (d) and (f) of the standard.

Please provide copies of this agreement to all area and district offices. A copy of this agreement will be forwarded for input onto the OCIS National Office settlement agreement file.
