OSHA recognizes Black Hills Energy technician in Cheyenne, Wyoming, as Voluntary Protection Programs leader of the year

Where:  Region VIII VPP Participants Association's Networking and Best Practice Sharing event
              Church Ranch Events Center, Westminster, Colorado

Background:  Sviatko was chosen in recognition of his consistent and passionate dedication to safety and health excellence and the OSHA VPP at his workplace. His efforts include providing advice and guidance to his co-workers, actively serving as a mentor and ensuring the safety and well-being of colleagues and contractors in site to ensure their safety.

OSHA's Voluntary Protection Programs recognize and promote effective worksite-based safety and health management systems. In VPP, management, labor and OSHA establish cooperative relationships at workplaces that have implemented comprehensive safety and health management systems. VPP approval is OSHA's official recognition of the outstanding efforts of employers and employees who have created exemplary worksite safety and health management systems.
