US Department of Labor's OSHA to host July 28 telephone
media briefing on new cranes and derricks rulemaking

WASHINGTON -- The U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration will hold a telephone media briefing Wednesday, July 28, at 1:30 p.m. EDT to discuss new historic rules being issued the same day addressing the safety of cranes and derricks in construction. This new standard will replace a decades-old standard. Assistant Secretary of Labor for OSHA Dr. David Michaels will provide an overview and answer questions.
