US Department of Labor partners with Ryan Companies, Colorado State University to ensure worker safety at Loveland construction project

Ryan Companies to build 5-story, 4M-square-foot distribution center

DENVER – The U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration and Ryan Companies, builder of a five-story, 4,000,000-square-foot distribution center in Loveland, have entered into a strategic partnership to promote the safety and health of those working on the project. The Colorado Onsite Health and Safety Consultation Program at Colorado State University is also part of the partnership.

The partnership seeks to develop effective safety and health management systems for all on-site contractors that protects workers from potential hazards, promotes employee participation and engagement, increases the number of internal safety and health reviews, reduces employees' exposure to hazardous materials, and encourages participation in safety stand-down events.

"Working with Ryan Companies and Colorado State University will help ensure all employees on this worksite are protected from hazards and return home safely every day," said OSHA Area Director Amanda Kupper in Denver. "The partners recognize the impact of a strong safety and health management system focused on achieving goals, monitoring performance, and evaluating outcomes."

"We are excited to participate in this partnership and we hope to heighten safety and health management for all contractors during the building of the new distribution center," said CSU Program Manager Greg Gress.

Founded in 1938, Ryan Companies is a national builder, developer, designer and real estate management firm based in Minneapolis.
