WASHINGTON – The U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration today announced a meeting of the Federal Advisory Council on Occupational Safety and Health on July 13, 2023, from 1 to 4 p.m. EDT.

FACOSH advises the Secretary of Labor on all matters relating to the occupational safety and health of federal employees. These matters include providing advice on how to reduce the number of injuries and illnesses in the federal workforce, and how to encourage federal executive branch departments and agencies to establish and maintain effective occupational safety and health programs.

The tentative agenda will include:

  • The FACOSH subcommittee's work on addressing agencies' effective use of occupational safety and health management systems.
  • OSHA's warehouse initiative.
  • OSHA's work on workplace violence.

Public and member attendance at the meeting is online only. Members of the public may attend the FACOSH meeting by joining online. Public participation will be in listen-only mode. The deadline for submission of comments and requests to speak was June 23, 2023.

Meeting information will be posted in the Docket as No. OSHA-2023-0012 and on the FACOSH webpage prior to the meeting. Read the Federal Register notice for more information.
