Investigation Summary
At 2:30 p.m. on October 4, 2017, an employee, owner, was in the process of cutting limbs from the trees to make them as a "pole" so the grading company can come and knock them down at a later date. The employee was in the process of cutting limbs off of a tree approximately 60 feet from ground level. The employee accidently cut the limb that he was tied/anchored to. The anchored point (limb) fell with one end from the rope attached to the limb (anchorage point) and the other end attached to the employee, the falling limb pulled the employee down from the tree onto the ground. The employee sustained a severe head injury and was killed.
