Investigation Summary
Two employees were working in an in-patient mental health rehabilitation center when they were exposed to patients and coworkers who were infected with COVID-19. Employee #1 was working as a security guard but off work due to COVID-19 symptoms prior to being hospitalized. Employee #1 was released from the hospital on July 6, 2020, after having recovered from his infection. Employee #2 was working as a counselor and having COVID-19 symptoms prior to being admitted to the hospital. Employee #2 died on August 11, 2020, due to complications of his COVID-19 infection.
