Investigation Summary
An employee was working as a certified nursing assistant (CNA) at a life plan community or continuing care retirement community. The site consisted of a full-service nursing home, an assisted living facility, and an independent living senior community. She contracted COVID-19, and she died on December 22, 2020. Because there were multiple cases of COVID-19 among staff and residents of the community, there was a presumption that the employee had contracted COVID-19 at work.
