Investigation Summary
An employee was working for a temporary help service when he began having flu-like symptoms with severe muscle aches, mild cough, and fatigue. On December 23, 2020, the employee tested positive for COVID-19 and was admitted to the emergency department of a hospital due to flu-like symptoms, cough that had continued for four days, body aches, fevers, and chills. The employee was hospitalized and died due to COVID-19 related acute respiratory failure with hypoxemia at 9:00 a.m. on January 15, 2021.
