Investigation Summary
An employee was working as a technician in a printed circuit board laboratory where he assembled electronic boards using a soldering iron to assemble the parts together. The employee had a designated workstation and worked alone. On March 25, 2021, the employee started feeling symptomatic during his day off. On March 27, 2021, the employee received a second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and on March 29, 2021, he tested positive for COVID-19. The employee died at 12:53 p.m. on March 31, 2021 in his residence. The employee had a history of diabetes mellitus, hypertension, and obesity which increased his risk of a severe outcome.
