29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs, with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels, were not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system. Or, on roofs 50-feet (15.25 m) or less in width, each employee was not protected by use of a safety monitoring system alone: (a) on the jobsite - employees were exposed to an 11 ft fall hazard as they walked without being tied off on the classroom building (4:12 slope) between the ladder located at the back of the classroom building and the roof valley (between the main sanctuary building and the classroom building) where they unhooked from the rope; on or about 2/2/2017. (b) on the jobsite - employees were exposed to a 9ft,2in fall hazard as they walked without being tied off on the classroom building (4:12 slope, 1:12 slope over breezeway) between the ladder located at the front of the classroom building and the roof valley (between the main sanctuary building and the classroom building) where they unhooked from the rope; observed on or about 2/2/2017. (c) on the jobsite - an employee was exposed to a 9ft,2in fall hazard, in that, fall protection was not used when working on the metal drip edge from the fellowship hall roof (4:12 slope). The employee was also exposed to the fall hazard when walking between the fellowship hall and the ladder located at the front of the classroom building; on or about 2/2/2017.
