29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. (a) V.A. Framing Construction, Inc., 2270 S. University Blvd, Denver, CO 80210: On or about April 3rd, 2017, the exposing employer did not ensure that an employee was using fall protection while removing guardrails from a second story balcony located inside unit number 221. An employee was fatality injured after falling approximately 19 feet to the ground below. This condition exposed this employee to a fall hazard.
