OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to struck-by hazards during manual tree felling operations: 27 Dilworthtown Rd, Thornton, PA - 27 Dilworthtown Rd, Thornton, PA - On or about 5/7/18, the employer did not ensure that all obstacles in the felling path had been removed before proceeding to fell a tree. Among other methods, a feasible and acceptable abatement method includes following the national consensus standard requirements of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Z133 -2012, American National Standard for Arboricultural Operations - Safety Requirements, Section 8.5, Tree Removal, as applicable by ensuring consideration of all relevant factors pertaining to the tree and site and take the appropriate actions to warrant the safe felling of trees
