Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.22(a)(3): Walking-working surfaces were not maintained free of hazards such as sharp or protruding objects, loose boards, holes, corrosion, leaks, spills, snow, and ice: a. On or about October 5, 2018, on Press 7 and Press 5, the chute covers were damaged and had bent up edges causing tripping hazards when the employee were required to walk next to the press. b. On or about October 5, 2018, on Line 6, the employees were exposed to a floor hole by the controls for the gooseneck, thereby exposing employee to trip and fall hazards. c. On or about October 5, 2018, in the production area, the employer failed to keep the aisles free of oil on the floor, thereby exposing employee to slip hazards.
