29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): The employer does not ensure that each affected employee used appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles. Garage Roof - Employees performing nailing operations did not have protection from hazards associated with flying particles by the use of safety glasses. The employer fails to assure effective protections against hazards associated with flying objects as required by the standard, as demonstrated on December 18, 2018, when employee #1 was operating a pneumatic nail gun attaching shingles to the roof of the garage without wearing a means of PPE, such as safety glasses.
