OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1) The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees Presence Central and Suburban Hospitals Network DBA AMITA Health Mercy Medical Center Aurora located at 1325 N. Highland Avenue, Aurora, IL 60506 On January 26, 2021 through February 6, 2021, the employer did not provide a fit test to all employees required to wear respirators. The employer required employees to wear N95 filtering facepiece respirators to protect against the SARS-CoV-2 virus while providing care to suspected and confirmed positive COVID-19 patients. A CT Technologist working in the CT Imaging Unit of the Radiology Department was not fit tested annually. Abatement certification is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).
