29 CFR 1910.1025(c)(1): Employee(s) were exposed to lead at concentrations greater than fifty micrograms per cubic meter of air averaged over an eight-hour period: a. Steam Stripping Room - On or about March 5, 2015, the employer exposed employees to an airborne lead level of 465 micrograms per cubic meter, 9.3 times the permissible exposure limit (PEL) of 50 micrograms per cubic meter, while performing steam stripping, scraping, and sanding. Overexposure to lead can cause permanent kidney, blood, and reproductive damage.
