29 CFR 1910.134(k)(5)(i): Retraining was not conducted when changes in the workplace or the type of respirator rendered previous training obsolete: (a) 3 Pavilion East, 4 & 5 Saint John, 5 Pavilion East & West, 9 Pavilion West and CCU/MICU: Employees working as Patient Care Technicians are required to wear N95 filtering facepiece respirators while providing direct care to COVID-19 positive patients. The employer did not ensure that these employees could demonstrate knowledge of how to extend the use of their respirator or how to perform a user seal check, on or after 3/25/2020.
