Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001B Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.1200(g)(8): The employer did not maintain in the workplace copies of the required safety data sheets for each hazardous chemical, and did not ensure that they were readily accessible during each work shift to employees when they were in their work area(s) The employer is failing to protect employees from hazards associated with working with materials and chemicals such as, but not limited to, limestone, mortar, and cleaning acids. This was most recently documented on or about September 4, 2020, at a jobsite located at 12 Seminole Circle, Lake Winnebago, Missouri. Employees regularly use these hazardous materials in which the employer fails to ensure that the safety data sheets are accessible to employees in case of exposure to ensure adequate precautions are taken to protect employees and proper aid is rendered to employees if exposed to chemical hazards.
