29 CFR 1910.134(f)(2):The employer did not ensure that an employee using a tight-fitting facepiece respirator is fit tested prior to initial use of the respirator, whenever a different respirator facepiece (size, style, model or make) is used, and at least annually thereafter: MedStar Washington Hospital Center located at 110 Irving Street, NW Washington, DC 20010: (a) On or about January 13, 2021, and continuing thereafter, the employer did not provide a fit test to all employees required to wear respirators. The employer required employees to wear N95 filtering facepiece respirators to protect against SARS-CoV-2 while performing housekeeping services in OR rooms that had been occupied by suspected or confirmed positive COVID-19 patients. (b) On or about January 25, 2021, and continuing thereafter, the employer did not provide a fit test to all employees required to wear respirators. The employer required employees to wear N95 filtering facepiece respirators to protect against SARS-CoV-2 while collecting registration or financial information from suspected or confirmed positive COVID-19 patients upon admission. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
