29 CFR 1910.134(g)(1)(i)(A):Respirators with tight-fitting facepieces were worn by employees who had facial hair that came between the sealing surface of the facepiece and the face or that interfered with valve function: (a) MedStar Washington Hospital Center located at 110 Irving Street, NW Washington, DC 20010: On or about January 25, 2021, employees were required to wear N95 filtering facepiece respirators to protect against SARS-CoV-2 while collecting registration or financial information from suspected or confirmed positive COVID-19 patients upon admission, and the employer allowed an employee with a beard to wear a N95 filtering facepiece respirator. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
