29 CFR 1926.451(b)(5)(i): The end of a platform 10 feet or less in length extended over its support more than 12 inches and the platform was not designed and installed so that the cantilevered portion of the platform is able to support employees and/or materials without tipping, or has guardrails which block employee access to the cantilevered end; On or about February 13, 2020, at the New Sherman High School Project, employees performing masonry activities were directed to work from a welded scaffold system that had a work platform extended over the end rail more than 12 inches and the other end was not secured. Employees were exposed to a fall hazard of up to 18 feet to the concrete below.
