29 CFR 1910.134(k)(1): The employer did not provide effective training to ensure that each employee could demonstrate knowledge of 1910.134(k)(1)(i) - (vii): MedStar Washington Hospital Center located at 110 Irving Street, NW Washington, DC 20010: (a) On or about January 13, 2021, and continuing thereafter, employees were required to wear N95 filtering facepiece respirators to protect against SARS-CoV-2 while performing housekeeping services in OR rooms that had been occupied by suspected or confirmed positive COVID-19 patients, and their respiratory protection training was limited to donning and doffing procedures. (b) On or about January 25, 2021, and continuing thereafter, employees were required to wear N95 filtering facepiece respirators to protect against SARS-CoV-2 while collecting registration or financial information from suspected or confirmed positive COVID-19 patients upon admission, and their respiratory protection training was limited to donning and doffing procedures. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
