29 CFR 1910.1047(i)(2)(i)(A): Medical examinations and consultations were not made available to each employee prior to assignment to an area where exposure to ethylene oxide may be at or above the action level for at least 30 days a year: a) Receiving Department - On or about 3/26/2019, the employer exposed employees to eyes, skin and respiratory tract injuries in that no medical examinations and consultations were provided to employees prior to assignment of the employees working in the area with exposure to airborne concentrations of ethylene oxide in levels above 1 ppm of an 8-hour TWA when employees were exposed at or above action level while required to open boxes containing medical equipment, sterilized with ethylene oxide and while operating forklifts to unload boxes.
