29 CFR 1910.242(a): Hand and portable powered tools or equipment were not kept in safe condition: On or about March 6, 2019, at Polar Service Centers, Port Allen location the employer failed to ensure that a Bosch 4 1/2 inch angle grinder was kept in safe condition. Employee(s) used the angle grinder to cut and repair bulk trailers. Instance 1) The angle grinder was not equipped with an auxiliary handle. Instance 2) The employer allowed employee(s) to use a 5 1/2 inch toothed saw blade on the angle grinder.
