Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 002 Hazard:
29 CFR 1915.152(b): The employer did not asses its work activity to determine whether there were hazards present, which necessitated the employee's use of personal protective equipment: a) MHI, Normandy CG-60: On or about March 21, 2021, a hazard assessment of the work activity was not conducted in that employees were left to design a method to lift a Bolted Equipment Removal Plate, as a result fell and fracture an employee's foot. Abatement certification and documentation required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date and method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement. Abatement documentation shall include documents demonstrating that abatement is complete, such as evidence of the purchase or repair of equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement or other written records.
