29 CFR 1910.106(e)(6)(ii): Category 1 or 2 flammable liquids, or Category 3 flammable liquids with a flashpoint below 100 degree F (37.8 degree C), were dispensed into containers without the nozzle and containers being electrically interconnected. On March 29, 2022, and times prior to, employee(s) of Craftsmen Industries, Inc. located at 3101 Elm point Industrial Drive, Saint Charles, MO performed fuel transfer operations. Diesel fuel a Category 3 flammable liquid was transferred from a semi-truck trailer auxiliary tank into a 55 gallon drum without grounding and bonding the two containers. Employees in the nearby area and performing the work were exposed to fire and explosion hazards.
