29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(4): Ladder(s) were used for purposes other than the purpose for which they were designed: a- 21 Charlotte Street, Marlton NJ: Workers and the company worksite Foreman were exposed to fall hazards, in excess of 4 feet 8 inches to the concrete flooring below, when gaining access to and egressing from a residential structure's first floor, from its garage, using a portable A-framed ladder that was in the closed position while leaning against the interior wall of the garage. Condition observed on or about 12/14/23. NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM, FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
