29 CFR 1910.140(c)(18):29 CFR 1910.140(c)(18): The employer did not ensure that personal fall protection systems are inspected before initial use during each workshift for mildew, wear, damage, and other deterioration, and defective components are removed from service. On or about January 6, 2024, at 93 Caribbean Road, Naples, FL 34112, the employer did not ensure the fall protection system, which the rope was frayed, was inspected before each use while engaged in tree trimming/removal, exposing employees to fall hazards approximately 50ft above ground.
