Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 002 Hazard:
Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer does not furnish employment and a place of employment which are free from recognized hazards that are causing or are likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that emergency stop buttons are not readily accessible: (a) Machine number FV006, foam cutter; the push button estop is housed in a metal frame that requires the machine operator to reach into an opening to activate the emergency stop action; and (b) Machine number WR209, Heian ZR-842P CNC router; the push button estop is located upside-down on the underside of the machine housing. (c) Machine number WR220, Heian ZR-842P CNC router; the push button estop is located upside-down on the underside of the machine housing.
