29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i)(A): Authorized employee(s) did not receive training in the recognition of applicable hazardous energy sources, the type and magnitude of the energy available in the workplace, and the methods and means necessary for energy isolation. a) Re-pack Lines; On or about September 5, 2016, employees performing "authorized" type activities (i.e., cleaning, maintenance and servicing) on the grading/sorting tables and the packing machines, were exposed to potential amputation hazards due to the fact that they were not trained in the recognition of applicable hazardous energy sources, the type and magnitude of the energy available, and the methods and means for energy isolation. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
