29 CFR 1910.28(b)(1)(i): The employer did not ensure that each employee on a walking-working surface with an unprotected side or edge that was 4 feet (1.2 m) or more above a lower level was protected from falling by one or more of the following: Guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: On or about July 31, 2019, and times prior thereto, the employer failed to ensure the employees were not exposed to a fall hazard when performing maintenance and inspections of the aerosol propellant system located on the roof of the gas house. Employees will perform maintenance and inspect the aerosol propellant system located on the roof. Employee(s) were exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 8.5 feet.
