29 CFR 1910.217(b)(7)(iii): Machines Using Part Revolution Clutches. (iii) A means of selecting Off, "Inch," Single Stroke, and Continuous (when the continuous function is furnished) shall be supplied with the clutch/brake control to select type of operation of the press. Fixing of selection shall be by means capable of supervision by the employer. a) On and before July 3, 2024, the fixing of selection of off, "inch," single stroke, and continuous was not under the supervision of the employer in that the Minster 400 ton part revolution press selector switch was left on inch mode for production operation, and operators were authorized to switch modes as needed. b) On and before July 9, 2024, the fixing of selection of off, "inch," single stroke, and continuous was not under the supervision of the employer in that the Seyi SAG-440 ton part revolution press selector switch was left on inch mode for production operation, and operators were authorized to switch modes as needed. c) On and before July 9, 2024, the fixing of selection of off, "inch," single stroke, and continuous was not under the supervision of the employer in that the Stamtec 330 ton part revolution press selector switch was left on inch mode for production operation, and operators were authorized to switch modes as needed. d) On and before July 9, 2024, the fixing of selection of off, "inch," single stroke, and continuous was not under the supervision of the employer in that the Stamtec G1-80 ton part revolution press selector switch was left on inch mode for production operation, and operators were authorized to switch modes as needed.
