29 CFR 1926.416(a)(3): Before work was begun the employer did not ascertain by inquiry or direct observation, or by instruments, whether any part of an energized electric power circuit, exposed or concealed, was so located that the performance of the work could bring any person, tool, or machine into physical or electrical contact with the electric power circuit; the employer did not post and maintain proper warning signs where such a circuit existed; and the employer did not advise employees of the location of such lines, the hazards involved, and the protective measures to be taken: The employer is failing to protect employees from electrical hazards while engaged in residential roofing activities. This was most recently documented on or about May 2, 2017 at the jobsite located 1203 Ridge Circle, Tonganoxie, Kansas. The employer did not take necessary actions to ascertain the presence of, or warn employees of energized 240 volt electrical wiring and advise employees on actions needed to be taken to avoid potential contact. Employees were exposed to electrical shock/electrocution hazards.
