29 CFR 1910.178(n)(8): The employer did not ensure that under all travel conditions the truck was operated at a speed that would permit it to be brought to a stop in a safe manner. On or about June 24, 2019 and at times prior thereto, a forklift operator of Tarco of Texas was operating a Powered Industrial Truck (PIT), down a loading dock ramp at a speed that did not permit the PIT to be stopped in a safe manner, exposing employees to the hazards of being struck by and/or crushed by a PIT.
